What happens if I send crypto to the wrong address?
If crypto is sent to the wrong address, it’s usually lost.
Crypto transactions can’t be undone — even by RockWallet.
If the network doesn’t match what the receiving wallet supports, the funds often can’t be recovered - even by support.
Why?
-
Transactions are final and irreversible
-
There’s no one who can “undo” a send, not even RockWallet
-
Funds can only be recovered if the owner of that address decides to send them back
RockWallet helps reduce mistakes by:
- Validating addresses where possible
- Requiring you to confirm the network before sending
- Showing clear warnings during the send flow
The final responsibility is on you to confirm the network & the receiving address are correct.
