What happens if I send crypto to the wrong address?

If crypto is sent to the wrong address, it’s usually lost.

Crypto transactions can’t be undone — even by RockWallet.

If the network doesn’t match what the receiving wallet supports, the funds often can’t be recovered - even by support.

Why?

  • Transactions are final and irreversible

  • There’s no one who can “undo” a send, not even RockWallet

  • Funds can only be recovered if the owner of that address decides to send them back

RockWallet helps reduce mistakes by:

  • Validating addresses where possible
  • Requiring you to confirm the network before sending
  • Showing clear warnings during the send flow

The final responsibility is on you to confirm the network & the receiving address are correct.
