Why do I need to verify my identity, and what is ID verification?

Understand why RockWallet requires verification (KYC/AML) and what you’ll need to provide.

To keep your account secure and fully compliant with financial regulations, we require identity verification before you can buy, sell, or swap digital assets. This is part of our commitment to preventing fraud and ensuring we meet Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) standards.

To enable Buy, Sell, and Swap in RockWallet, you’ll need to verify your identity. This helps us:

  • Comply with laws and regulations (KYC/AML requirements)

  • Prevent fraud and protect customers

  • Keep RockWallet safe, secure, and transparent

What ID verification involves
We confirm that the personal information you provide is accurate by asking for:

  • A government-issued photo ID (passport, national ID card, driver’s license, or residence permit)

  • A quick selfie (liveness check) to match you to the ID

  • Any additional details the prompts request (e.g., full name, date of birth, address)

How to complete verification

  1. Open the RockWallet app and follow the on-screen prompts.

  2. Upload clear photos of your ID.

  3. Take a selfie when prompted.

  4. Submit and await confirmation.

    • Once verified, you can Buy and Swap digital assets in your wallet.

Tip: Make sure photos are well-lit, glare-free, and all corners of your ID are visible.

If you run into issues, reach out to RockWallet Support and we’ll help you finish verification.
