Why do I need ETH to Swap digital assets that aren’t ETH?
Coins that are issued on the Ethereum blockchain are called ‘ERC-20’ tokens. ERC-20 tokens require Ethereum (ETH) to pay for mining fees on the Ethereum blockchain. You will need ETH in your wallet to cover the network fees for any swap that includes ERC-20 coins, including: ETH, SHIB, USDC & USDT. You can either send ETH to your RockWallet to cover these fees or purchase ETH using the ‘Buy’ functionality with a debit card, credit card, or ACH electronic bank transfer (in supported countries/territories).
