What is Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)?

An extra layer of security to help keep your RockWallet account safe.

2FA, short for Two-Factor Authentication, adds an additional layer of protection to your RockWallet account.
When 2FA is enabled, you’ll need to verify your identity using two separate methods before gaining access or confirming sensitive actions, for example, logging in or approving a transaction.

Typically, 2FA requires:

  1. Something you know - like your password or PIN.

  2. Something you have - like a unique verification code sent to your phone or generated by an authenticator app (like Google Authenticator).

This extra step ensures that even if someone obtains your password, they still can’t access your wallet without your second verification method.

💡 Tip: We highly recommend enabling 2FA for an added layer of security. It only takes a few minutes and significantly increases your account protection.
