# Why can’t RockWallet refund gas fees?
## Gas fees go directly to the blockchain and cannot be reversed.
Gas fees are non-refundable. Gas fees go directly to the blockchain validators/miners, to maintain the network’s security and accuracy. These fees **do not go to RockWallet.**
When you send a transaction from RockWallet, your wallet facilitates the payment of that fee, it doesn’t touch or hold the funds.
The full fee is automatically deducted and sent to the miners who process your transaction in the blockchain.
Because gas fees are paid to the blockchain network (not RockWallet), they are **non-refundable** once the transaction is confirmed.
