# How to Move from the original ‘RockWallet: Buy and Swap’ App to the new ‘RockWallet: Crypto Simplified’ App
## Moving from your original ‘RockWallet: Buy and Swap’ App to the new ‘RockWallet: Crypto Simplified’ App
RockWallet is our next-generation wallet with improved security and features.
**Before you start**
✅ You have both apps installed: The original ‘RockWallet: Buy and Swap’ App and the new ‘RockWallet: Crypto Simplified’ App
✅ You know which token you’re moving.
✅ If you’re moving **ERC-20 tokens**, you have enough **ETH for gas**

### **Step 1: Download the New RockWallet (‘RockWallet: Crypto Simplified’)**
1. Create a new account on the new RockWallet app. Your legacy app credentials will not work in the new RockWallet app.
2. Set up your new wallet and complete onboarding.
3. Complete identity verification → To unlock full features, you will need to complete **Level 2 verification (KYC)**.
4. Once done, stay in the app - you’ll need your receive address later

### **Step 2: IMPORTANT: Check Your Current Wallet RockWallet: Buy and Swap App**
If you haven’t logged in recently, your balance may look incorrect. **This does not mean your funds are gone.**
If your balance looks off, you’ll need to refresh your wallet before moving funds.
*\*\*This process may take a few steps, depending on how many assets you have\*\**
**If your balance looks incorrect:**
You’ll need to refresh your wallet.
***Before anything else, make sure you have your Recovery Phrase written down***
1. Go to Menu → Security Settings → Recovery Phrase
2. Enter your PIN
3. Confirm your 12-word phrase matches your original one.
If it doesn’t match → STOP and [contact support](https://help.rockwallet.com/kb-tickets/new?hsLang=en)

**Now refresh your wallet:**
1. Go to Menu → Security Settings
2. Tap Unlink from this device
3. Log back in
4. Select:
1. Skip verification
2. Use wallet with limited features
3. Restore wallet
5. Enter your original 12-word phrase
Your correct balances should now appear.

### **Step 3: Move Your Funds from**
To move your assets, you will send your tokens from your original RockWallet to your new RockWallet wallet.
**Easiest Option:**
Instead of moving each asset, you can:
- Sell your assets in the ‘RockWallet: Buy and Swap’ App
- Swap your assets in the ‘RockWallet Buy and Swap’ App → Sell
- Then Buy again in the ‘RockWallet: Crypto Simplified’ App

**Alternative Option:**
You’ll move your assets to the ‘RockWallet: Crypto Simplified’ App one at a time.
⚠️ **Before You Send Anything**
- Send a small test amount first
- Test: **$1–$5**
- Then send the rest once confirmed
- You cannot send your full balance at once
- You may need to try a few amounts to cover fee calculations
- **Note:** ETH is required to move ERC-20 tokens
- If you have one of the following tokens: USDT, USDC, MNEE, DOGE, ETH
- You must keep some ETH to cover network fees
- Send your ETH out of your original wallet last

**First:** Get your receive address from your new RockWallet
- Open the new RockWallet
- Select the asset you want to move over
- Tap Receive
- Copy the address
- Then, send from your old wallet
- Open your original RockWallet (RockWallet: Buy and Swap)
- Select the asset
- Tap Send
- Paste your new wallet address
⭐ You’ll need to repeat this process for each asset you want to move. Once all assets are moved, you’re fully migrated to your new RockWallet.

**Common Issues (Quick Fixes)**
1. My balance is $0 → You need to relink your wallet (See Step 2)
2. Funds missing after sending → Check transaction status on the [blockchain;](https://help.rockwallet.com/app/i-sent-someone-crypto-but-they-dont-see-it?hsLang=en) it may still be processing
3. I can’t send full balance → Leave a small amount for network fees
4. Need Help? If anything feels off, contact support before taking action. We’ll help guide you through it.
You’re almost there – once your funds are moved, you’re fully migrated.

**⚠️ Important Things to Note:**
#### **1. Ethereum gas fees (for ERC-20 tokens)**
If you need to buy ETH for gas:
- Minimum purchase is **$30**
- There is **no minimum to send**
#### **2. Crypto dust**
“Dust” is tiny leftover amounts (often under $0.01) that may not be worth moving due to network fees.

### **Step 4: Start Using the new ‘RockWallet: Crypto Simplified’ App**
Once your funds are in the new RockWallet, you can begin transacting.
**1. Add a payment method**
RockWallet currently supports **U.S. debit cards** for purchases.
**2. Buy, sell, or swap crypto**
After completing verification and adding a payment method, you can begin buying, selling, or swapping supported assets.
Availability depends on your region.
#### United States availability
RockWallet is only available in the U.S., **but some states have limited features**.

**Limited functionality**
**U.S. states and territories:**
In the following states and territories, Send and Receive are available, but Buy, Sell, and Swap are not currently available:
- Connecticut
- Louisiana
- Massachusetts
- North Carolina
- New York
- Pennsylvania
- U.S. Virgin Islands
These restrictions are based on state-level regulations and may change over time.

#### **International availability**
RockWallet is not available outside of the U.S due to regulatory restrictions.
If you’re traveling or relocating, availability may change based on where you’re physically located.

### Step 5: Delete your RockWallet Buy and Swap Account
1. From the Assets page, tap the Menu icon in the bottom-right corner.
2. Select Security Settings.
3. Tap Delete Account (highlighted in red).
4. Review the confirmation message carefully and check the box next to:
*“I understand that the only way to recover my wallet is by entering my Recovery Phrase.”*
5. Tap the Confirm button (it will turn green once the box is checked).
6. Enter your 12-word recovery phrase when prompted.
Once completed, your RockWallet account will be permanently deleted.
⚠️ Important: Deleting your account does not remove your funds from the blockchain.
Your crypto remains accessible only through your recovery phrase. RockWallet cannot restore deleted accounts or recover lost recovery phrases.
